Hello everyone as I promised I am up with the review of the book.📚 So this was the first ever classic fiction I ever read. I always wanted to read a classic novel but now that I have read one I realise that they don't suit my interest well.
So basically if we focus on the title which reads " To Kill a mockingbird" This title has a meaning around which most part of the novel revolves. To kill a mockingbird means to kill or destroy innocence or purity. The scene was set around at 1800's in Maycomb Country. A major part of the book covers racism against blacks and the ill treatment or lack of justice metted out to them.
The story begins when our protagonist Ms.Finch (Scout as she was known as) and her brother Jem Finch were discussing about the incidents that led to the fracture in Jem's arm. The plot has only three kids in the whole Maycomb Country and neighbourhood. However the third kid Dill also comes in the Maycomb Country during the summer break. Scout and Jem meet people of their age only at the school. If we discuss about the plot it starts with the mischief of both the kids. The don't have a mother so there father Atticus had hired a coloured(black) helper named Calpurnia.
In the Maycomb Country there existed a Radley Family. It was known that Boo Radley was a very angry and devilish creature who once stabbed his father in his leg. So his father kept him inside all the time. The three kids (Dill) attempted to bring Boo Radley out. It was a very intriguing and funny incident. The kids often played in mud and climbed on the Oak trees. So the plot was really normal till here. The main plot of the novel comes in the late second half wherein a coloured man Tom Robinson was accused of raping a white girl. It was very evident that there were two sides not divided as accused or guilty but Blacks and Whites.
Atticus was a white man yet he supported Tom Robinson because he was his lawyer. This case was pretty amazing and horrific. What I gather is that the practise of racism is completely wrong but it exists in our roots. Had there not been any racism there won't be such negativity.

Character of Jean Lousie:
Jean Lousie aka Scout was the most interesting character in this book. She was the only one because of whom i have been able to attach some interest in the book. Jean is a young girl who doesn't have a mother to look after her. She has an elder brother Jem who looks after her and her father Atticus who's a lawyer. He is a concerned father and he has hired a full time helper for his kids. But even after this the little girl lacked the warmth that one needed. She was not liked by the neighborhood women because she didn't behave like girls. She used to wear boy's clothes play in mud was a little loud in school. But she was extremely excited all the time. She was a lively kid and loved to question people. She could differentiate among right and wrong. She never became a cause of worry for her father. I really admired the character which kept me smiling through the small plots.
