Poem: Gems at my Window
Poem: Gems at my Window
I try to wake up with the morning sky
Mistakenly, I disturb all the pigeons who pass by
For I think I am in pain and I only know
But those birds try to cheer me up at the window.
I see the same flock everyday or maybe as I think
Two of them my favourite and my window their favorite spot,
For they chirp, play and jump there,
And I dare to disturb them not.
I never care to give them any grain
They slouch on the branches and stems
They could hear my noiseless cry and empathaize my pain
They are not just birds, they are gems.
For those dinky creatures could understand my pain
It needs the heart and not the brain
So why can't we people do the same
There may be less suicides and less greed for fame.
