Book Review: Message in a Bottle
Book review: Message in a Bottle
So this was my first book by the famous author Nicholas. The author is renowned for his contribution in literature through romantic fictions. The Notebook is yet another bestseller by him.
This book was suggested to me by my sister. She was really impressed and moved by the emotions the book carries and bond the characters share. I must say that I was not a fan of romantic fictions before this book but it has changed my thinking.
Theresa Osborne is a single mother to a 12 year old boy, Kevin in Boston. She got divorced when she found about her husband's extra affairs. She was a columnist. The story begins when Kevin goes to his father's for a month long vacation. Theresa decided to spend some time with Deana (friend) and her husband at beachside. She was jogging when she found the bottle that had a message in it.
She got curious and opened it to find a letter by Garrett to his Late wife Catherine. She was really moved by the emotions of the letter and she published it in the columns. She later found people who had also received letters with same initials. She went in search of Garett.
After some research she got to know that he lived in Wilmington. When she reached there and met him it was all normal because she just wanted to meet the man who wrote so beautifully. There was a little bit dragging of text in the between. But what happened after that led to an ocean of emotions. They both hid their truths and loved each other. There was love, care, fight, travel, surprise, heartbreak and deaths.
The plot had a massive twist at the end. The lives of the characters completed a full circle and so did the plot. A must read❤️
